The present work intends to evaluate and compare the elimination rate of pet dogs (Canis lupus familiaris) fleas (Ctenocephalides canis) due to use of Plectranthus ornatus extract shampoo, Cipermetrin shampoo and coconut soap. Pure bathing water had no effects whatever over the fleas population. The use of coconut soap resulted in a low elimination rate of 27%. Single use of Cipermetrina and P. ornatus has showed rates of 76.59% and 80.83%, respectively. But the best results were achieved by double bathings, first with coaconut soap and after with Cipermetrin or P. ornatus. Thus, the rates boosted up to 97,98% and 97,78%, respectively.
