Abstract

Many studies demonstrated that use of Triticum vulgare, a Poaceae plant, stimulates fibroblasts mitoses and motility, reducing the wound healing time. To evaluate the Triticum vulgare cream healing effect in horses, circular skin wounds were made in the lumbar and metacarpal regions of six animals. The right wounds were treated with cream and the left wounds were used as control groups. Triticum vulgare cream intensified repaired cells migration, beyond stimulates fibroblast multiplication and collagen production, reducing the wound healing time.
