Leaf anatomy of Rollinia mucosa Jacq. Baill. (Annonaceae) under in vivo and in vitro conditions

Anatomical comparisons were made between leaves of a tree, of nursery-grown seedlings, and plantlets of Rollinia mucosa. Distinctive anatomical traits and of diagnostic values were found in these three situations studied. The morphogenic and anatomical responses found in the in vitro culture revealed characteristics that contribute to the success of this type of propagation.
