Biomass yield of Sfevia rebaudiana (Bert.) Bertoni as affected by gibberellic acid.

The objective of the present experiment was to evaluate the yield in S. rebaudiana (Bert.) Bertoni plants, with gibberellic acid (GA3) applied in leaves and evaluate modifications in plant physiology: T1 (water), T2 (10 mg.L-1 of gibberellic acid), T3 (20 mg.L-1) of gibberellic acid) and T4 (50 mg.L-1 of gibberellic acid). The experiment was carried out in greenhouse of the Deparlamenl of Botany, Campus of Botucatu - UNESP, using polyethilene bags with 7 kg of corrected soil, according to the Laboratory analysis of Soils - Agronomic Sciences College, UNESP. Botucatu, SP. Each treatment had three replications, with two plants and achieved, five collecting with fourteen days interval. Tho experiment was randomized entirely, in a factorial scheme. It was made variance and regression analysis to evaluate the GA3 effects. Growth attributes, namely frosh matter of root, stem, leave and whole plant were evaluated. The treatment T4 presented lhe best results lo roof fresh matter (RFM), stem fresh matter (SFM), leave fresh matter (LFM) and whole plant fresh matter (WPFM) in the collect 3. Treatments T2 and T3, didn't showed response-curve to GA3 and results were aleatory with increasing or decreasing, as far as charactenstrcs evaluated are concerned T2 differed from lhe T3, by reduction in almost all cases for T2. Treatment T1 presented lhe best results.
