Raw Matter Quality of Dryed and Packed Guaco (Mikania glomerata Sprengel)

In order to evaluate quality of dryed leaves of guaco, three methods of cleaning, two methods of drying and four methods of packing were tried. Packing methods were evaluated after six months of storage. Guaco plants must be dryed as soon after harvesting in order io get better conservation of the original plant characteristics, but drying without prior water washing resulted in greater microbiologic contamination. Methods of packing did not differ and preserved well l the raw matter of guaco.
